I haven't achieved much this morning. Dog walk, changed bedding, dailies.

Well done Valli on sorting out the nightmare of your mother's old care home, calming her down and getting her moved out.
(((hugs))) Kaz.
GWS Natty.
A productive day yesterday with a lot of empty packets and boxes hitting the bin, and a meal plan that involves using things from the freezer for three weeks or so. Extremely satisfying. I forgot to bake a loaf last night but remembered early enough to put on a Rapid loaf this morning so we will have bread for lunch, and the yoghurt should be ready to drain around that time too. I haven't made yoghurt for years so I hope I remembered the recipe correctly.
I've added an extra walk to the dog walker's routine each week because I still haven't fully recovered from whatever ailed me for most of February, and the tests so far have shown up a few bits and pieces that I'm choosing to believe are to do with getting older and absolutely nothing to do with the amount of abuse I heaped on my body for 50+ years. I've cleaned up my act for the past decade or so but it doesn't seem to have forgiven me for all the fags, booze, dancing on tables in smoke-filled dives, and burning the candle at both ends for as long as I had the energy to do those things. Wren has decided that pee-ing on the carpet at least once a day is acceptable to her and I think it's just the stress of her mum being unable to do as much as previously. Thank goodness for fabulous GPs and the wonderful NHS.
The Room of Doom is improving very slowly and I'm working my way through various stashes I've collected over the decades of being in this house. The problem with having an attic and a basement area is that I tend to fill them up, forget what I've got, buy more, squeeze it in, then rinse and repeat. The one thing I've learned over the past two and a half months is that there is absolutely nothing that gives me the same thrill of satisfaction as space - in drawers, cupboards, shelves, floor, and on my desk.
Belovéd believes that space is there for him to fill. He is wrong.
Better is good enough.

Ha ha ha, exactly the same problem here, HB. Clear window ledge? DH sees it as an opportunity to fill it. And inexplicably he thinks I don’t notice.
Busy day today, although the list that I wrote for myself last night has only been slightly dented. I did my exercises first thing, then I helped DH manhandle our fridge freezer from the utility room to its temporary home in the DR. That started my leg off again. It behaved enough for me to do a couple of not too strenuous hours at the allotment, but now I am conceding defeat for the day.
3 loads of washing done and nicely dried outside. Hair washed and tamed. Bathroom cleaned, ensuite s&s as I ran out of oomph. HH admin hasn’t happened, postponed until tomorrow. Maybe.8

Yoghurt worked, Belovéd raced downstairs after lunch to hack himself a slice of newly baked bread so that worked too.
Tricky card written, thank you card written, and another admin job that's been hanging over me for months has been completely cleared. Quite a satisfying day.
Better is good enough.

feel like i’m not achieving much but I am busy…i ironed, pegged out washing, went to see SD, took him to pharmacy as he has a swollen eyelid and GP won’t see him unless referred…some new system. went to town, paid in 3 weeks worth of cash takings because i haven’t had time, went to the haberdashers for buttons and the cheese shop (and went mad and bought 3 types) bought cards and went to S@vers
Made 2 cottage pies, we had one for tea, having nipped to Mr L for spuds and bought 3 bags of kale for the bunnies because I had a coupon…I notice i get personalised coupons now
p WUALTD, brought some aired laundry up, WM and DW locked and loaded.
Knitted some more of cardigan for great nephew.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY

- gym swim
- 'work'. Mainly archiving today although I had a brief chat with one of my students who is too overwhelmed with work to have his session with me......his session on planning! However he is keen to meet up during the Easter hols and start planning for next term. I happened to be on the lunch table with his Mum (I think) who said he's really benefiting from my support, so that is good feedback. Later I had an 'in passing' chat with another student who was just mentioning some study difficulties, so I told her when and where I could be found; she seemed pleased and took away a few hints on how to make decisions about which essay to pick.
- more progress on the office clearance; the friend I'd passed some books to on Friday (and who is borrowing my assessment tests) has asked if I'd sell her the tests. Prompted me to start sorting out the student answer booklets (which I buy in packs of 25 at £60-90 per pack) as I don't need to keep many, just one or two for each test.

Morning. Hope you're all okay. Wordle in three.
I have done a work shift, made bed, the WM has been busy and all washing now on line, admin almost up to date and got a couple of parcels ready to send. Waiting in for a delivery so Poppet will be walked later.
Spend less now, work less later.

Lamb bone stripped and given to the cat outside, removed from the cat after he brought it in and the dog realised he'd got it, chucked back outside and he's now at it outside the cat flap. He'll forget I'll take it away from himif he brings it back in at some point and manoeuvre it back in through the flap again so we're on rinse and repeat. Story of my life.
Potatoes prepped for tomorrow night's supper, everything needed for tonight's ditto. I love having a three week meal plan all sorted.
Yoghurt has finished straining so that's boxed up and the cloths washed and pegged out.
Breakfast scoffed and lunch prepped.
I'm about to walk the dog to post the tricky card I wrote yesterday to get it off my list of things I needed to do, and I'm now wondering which of the many, many Frogs I have in my RoD I should tackle today.
Better is good enough.

I've swept all the hard floors and used hard hand brush on the stairs. Looks much better.
Just two lines on connections, strands with no hints and letter boxed in four words.
I have the windows open today but agree that others would be warmer if they put more layers on or helped with housework. Also the storage thing. We have a new TV unit with two drawers. The old one had one drawer full of DHs rubbish which I got rid of. He had the cheek to ask what is going in the new drawers. Nothing....but I bet I'll find some carp in there at some point.
